Create your own path. This simple sentence is protected by a seemingly unbreakable barrier containing the secret to freedom.

A rigid educational structure judging you based on a grade point average is what is holding you back from your creativity. This structure is protected by the fact that it is questioned by few and respected by many. It is the few that are the ones “spit out by the system” and forced to create their own paths. The people that are creating their own paths are the entrepreneurs of the world.

An important step towards understanding is re-defining the word entrepreneur. The word entrepreneur to me presents a mindset. It presents the mindset people have when they cannot resist innovating. When a person looks at an establishment that has been around for years upon years and has the dignity to question it, and even set themselves aside from it, is the true entrepreneur. Entrepreneurs are people that will do everything necessary to thrive due to their fear of being afraid. You must separate yourself from absolutely everything you were traditionally taught and have the courage to think different, learn different, work different, and be different.

Entrepreneurship is the capacity to design your own path through life, leading you towards defined personal success. If you have never been one with a crowd, a process, or a systematic way of achieving “goals,” I promise, you are in the right place. The process won’t be glorious, people will not understand you, but you need to trust yourself. You need to have the capacity to take the risk of embarking out on your own journey. Once you let yourself see through your own lens and take the societal goggles off, you will be on your way towards freedom. Get up, get out, follow your dreams, trust yourself, and CREATE YOUR OWN PATH.
